List 10 People~Dead or Alive~ You’d Invite to a Dinner Party

Day 8:
 List 10 People
~Dead or Alive~
You’d Invite to a Dinner Party
(include the dinner menu)

  1. Martin Luther King, Jr.-This man has been one of my idols for as long as I can remember. I would love to know what his thoughts would be in today’s world.
  2. My Oma-My Oma was one of the most important people in my life as I was growing up. I spent my summers with her when we were stationed in Germany. She never tired of my endless stream of questions during our walks. I’ve never known anyone to be as patient and open to teaching me as my Oma.
  3. Marilyn Monroe-It’s only been over the last few years I’ve paid attention to Marilyn. It’s mostly through the quotes from her. I think she fits the profile of a woman who wasn’t appreciated for what was underneath the public persona.
  4. Ozzy Osborne-I love me some Ozzy. He has had a colorful past, to say the least. I love his music. If I’m having a tough day, putting on an Ozzy cd makes things better. Of course, I doubt I’ll understand anything he says but I’ll just smile and nod.
  5. Princess Diana-I understand I don’t know the story behind her marriage but to me, she always had such a sadness in her eyes; even before they announced the end of their marriage. Again, I’d like to know the woman behind the public persona.
  6. Will Ferrell-I stopped watching SNL years ago so I didn’t know about Will until I saw him in a movie. He just cracks me up with his facial gestures alone. He’d be a riot to watch interacting with Ozzy.
  7. T.D. Jakes-His sermons are so incredibly powerful. I’d be so excited to be in the presence of a man so spiritual.
  8. Stephen King-I have read I don’t know how many of his books and watched movies based on his work. The one thing which always runs through my mind is: where does this man always find his stories. His creativity seems endless. Just one day running through his mind; what a journey I imagine it would be.
  9. Simon Cowell-I use to think Simon was this absolutely horrible person due to his below the belt comments and dream smashing words. I’ve watched him on you tube and  started seeing a different side to him. He could provide the “bite” to the conversation I’m sure.
  10. Akon-Just because I think his voice is madly sexy! He’d have to sing for his supper!

I think if I had these 10 guests together, it would be a night to remember. I can imagine the conversations, the chatter, the side glances, the debates, the oh-no-you-didn’t attitudes, and the wonderful lessons I would learn from each and every one of them. And as this is going on, here’s our menu:

  • Steak
  • Lobster
  • Shrimp
  • French Fries
  • Tiramisu Cake

It might seem like a strange choice of food when you see the fries on the list but when I think of a feast, these are my choices!

Who would you invite and
what would be on your menu?
